The free plan
Free church management software
Not a trial that expires, and not a stripped-back starter tier. The whole church app, free forever for small churches.
Psalmly’s core app is free forever for churches up to 50 members.
That covers prayer, events, groups, announcements, the member directory, the member mobile app on iOS and Android, your public church page, online giving, and offering and expense records. There is no card to start and no expiry date.
The member cap is soft: Psalmly never keeps a congregant out of a church they belong to.
What the free plan includes

The parts churches assume are paid
These are the ones people are surprised by, so they are worth naming: none of them needs a plan.
- Online giving, on the free plan
- Take donations by card or bank transfer. It runs through your church's own Stripe account, so gifts settle straight into your bank and Psalmly never holds your money. See the pricing page for how the fees compare across plans.
- The weekly bulletin
- Build it, publish it, print it, email it to the congregation and put it on your public page. Only the AI drafting of the pastor and giving notes needs a paid plan.
- Forms and registrations
- Build a form by hand, attach it to an event, collect responses and export them as a CSV or a PDF. Only generating one from a description is the paid part.
- The member app, on iOS and Android
- Your congregation gets the real app from the App Store and Google Play — not a mobile web page. Members are never billed for it.
- Your public church page
- Service times, where you are, how to get in touch and how to give — open to anyone, no account needed. It is a real website, not a directory listing.
- Money records and a document vault
- Record cash and check offerings per giver, track expenses, and keep the church's documents somewhere that is not one person's laptop.

Questions churches ask
Is Psalmly free forever, or is it a trial?
Free forever. The core app costs nothing for churches up to 50 members, with no card to start and no expiry date. Nothing switches itself off after thirty days.
What happens when we pass 50 members?
Nothing stops working. The member cap is soft: Psalmly never keeps a congregant out of a church they belong to. You see a prompt to upgrade in your admin area, and that is all it is.
Do our members pay anything?
No. The church holds one subscription — or none, on Free — and every member it invites gets full access on web and mobile. Members are never billed separately.
Do we need a credit card to start?
No. Create your church, invite your congregation, and use it. You enter payment details only if you choose a paid plan.
What does a paid plan add?
The AI assistant and Scribe — the write-up tool that turns a recording of a meeting into minutes — plus your own web address and a higher member cap. AI is the one part of Psalmly that a paid plan buys.
Can our church take donations on the free plan?
Yes. Online giving works on every plan and runs through your church's own Stripe account, so gifts settle straight into your bank. See the pricing page for how the fees compare across plans.
