Graphics
An AI graphics generator for churches
Point at something already on your calendar and a finished poster, slide or social post comes back — with the date, time and place lettered into the artwork. The closest thing a small church has to a graphic designer on call.
Psalmly draws the graphic for whatever your church has coming up, from the event you already put in.
Attach an event, an announcement or a giving campaign and the brief fills itself in — the date, the time and the place come straight off it, and the model letters them into the design rather than stamping a text bar across the bottom. Choose from 40 looks and one of 3 shapes, ask for changes in ordinary words, and download the finished image.
Psalmly does not post it for you. You get the file, and you publish it wherever your church already publishes. Graphics is part of what a paid plan adds; the events and announcements it draws from are free forever.
At a glance
| What it takes in | A sentence describing what the graphic is for — and, optionally, an event, announcement or campaign already in Psalmly, which fills the brief in for you. |
|---|---|
| What it produces | One finished image with the words drawn into the artwork, in one of 3 shapes — square post, portrait, landscape. You download it. |
| How you steer it | 40 looks, browsed by how they feel rather than by technique: loud, handmade, warm, quiet, reverent, real. Then changes in plain words, each one redrawing in the same look. |
| Where it runs | The admin side of Psalmly, on the web. |
| Plans | Community and Growth. Free churches get no AI at all — that is the one hard gate in the product. |
How it works
The blank page is the bottleneck. This starts one step past it.
Step 1
Start from something real
Press “Make a graphic” on the event, announcement or campaign it is about — or type a sentence if it is not in Psalmly yet. Attaching brings the date, time and place with it, already worded the way they should be drawn.
Step 2
Pick how it should feel
Browse 40 looks by feel — loud, handmade, warm, quiet, reverent, real — or leave it on Auto, which is a real choice made on your behalf rather than an absence of one. Then choose the shape you need.
Step 3
Ask for changes
Say what you want different — bigger date, warmer, lose the basketball — and it redraws in the same style. Your first 5 changes are included.
Step 4
Download it and post it
Take the image and put it wherever your church already posts — Facebook, the noticeboard, the slide before the service, the bulletin. Everything you make stays on your Graphics shelf to come back to.
What you get back
Not a template with your text poured into it — a graphic drawn whole, words included.
- The words are part of the design
- The date, the time and the name of the thing are drawn as lettering inside the artwork — in the palette, at the weight the design wants. Nothing is laid over the top as a band, because a caption bolted onto someone else's design is exactly what a church's graphics already look like.
- 40 looks, browsed by feel
- Loud, handmade, warm, quiet, reverent, real. Feel is the axis because it is the question you are actually answering — nobody can tell a letterpress from a linocut at thumbnail size, and a funeral notice and a youth lock-in need different answers to the same question.
- Changes are a conversation
- There is no text box to nudge and no layers to manage. You say what should be different and the whole graphic is redrawn in the same look, which is what keeps it looking designed rather than edited.
- Artwork with no words at all
- A second mode, not a fallback: a hero image with no lettering, for a church that wants to put its own words on top in slides or a newsletter.
- A shelf you can come back to
- Every graphic your church has made, with each redraw kept beside it. Downloadable long after the Sunday it was for — for the bulletin, the noticeboard, or next year's version of the same thing.
Named for what a church uses them for, not by ratio. One graphic is one shape.
- Square post
- Instagram and Facebook feed
- Portrait
- posters, print inserts, phone screens
- Landscape
- screen slides and page headers
Where it stops
Small, deliberate limits.
It does not post for you
No Facebook or Instagram account to connect. Psalmly gives you the file; publishing stays in your hands, under your church's own name.
Three shapes, not any size
Square post, portrait and landscape are what can be drawn properly. Cropping one to fake another would cut through lettering placed for the original frame, so we do not offer it.
There is nothing to edit by hand
No text layer, no drag handles, no font menu. If something is wrong you say so and it is redrawn — that is the only editing model, and it is why the look survives the change.
It is the part a plan buys
The events, announcements and campaigns it draws from are free forever. Drawing the graphic is on Community and Growth, out of the same credit pool as the assistant and Scribe.
Graphics is included on Community and Growth, from $49 a month.
Community comes with 3,500 AI credits a month and Growth with 15,000. One pool covers every AI feature, so what you spend is up to you: 3,500 credits is about 3,500 assistant messages, or 29 hours of Scribe recording — and a quiet month of meetings leaves more for everything else.
AI is the part of Psalmly a paid plan buys. The rest of the app — prayer, events, groups, giving, the member app and your public church page — is free forever.

What do I actually type?
A sentence describing what it is for: "a poster for the Thanksgiving potluck", "a slide for Christmas Eve", "a happy birthday poster for our pastor with a pink background and balloons". You can also skip the typing and attach something already in Psalmly — the brief writes itself from it.
Where do the date, time and place come from?
Your own church. Attach an event, an announcement or a giving campaign and Psalmly pulls the details off it, so the date on the poster is the date on your calendar. For a recurring gathering it uses the next occurrence, not the day the series started years ago.
Can I change it after it is drawn?
Yes, by asking in ordinary words — "make the date bigger", "change it to 5pm", "warmer", "lose the basketball". Each change redraws the whole graphic in the same look. The first 5 changes to a graphic are included, and downloading it is always free.
Does it post to Facebook or Instagram for us?
No, and that is deliberate. Psalmly hands you the finished image — you post it wherever your church already posts. There is no social account to connect and nothing goes out under your church's name without you doing it.
Does it have to look like our brand?
Only if you ask. Adding your logo and using your accent color are two switches, both off by default. A whole design derived from one brand color comes out flat and monochrome, which is the auto-generated look churches are trying to get away from.
Can I get back to something we made last month?
Yes. Every graphic your church has made sits on one shelf, with each redraw kept beside it — so the poster you made for the summer picnic is still downloadable when you want it for the bulletin, the noticeboard or next year.
